Quick Summary
We collect your phone, requests, and tip activity to make the app work. DJs see only the last 4 of your phone — never your full number or payment. We don't sell your data. Period.
1. What We Collect
- Account: phone number, optional display name.
- Payment metadata: last 4 of card, payment method type, transaction ID. We never store full card numbers — those live with our PCI-compliant payment processors.
- Activity: requests submitted, tips, club & dancer associations, accept/deny outcomes, timestamps.
- Device: IP, browser type, approximate location (only when you grant permission for "Find my club").
- Communications: support messages and our replies.
2. How We Use It
- Process song requests and tips, including splits and payouts.
- Send you push/SMS notifications (request approved, song coming up, refund issued).
- Show DJs and venues which patron submitted a request (last-4 only — never full identity).
- Detect fraud, chargebacks, and policy abuse.
- Improve the product (aggregated, de-identified analytics).
- Comply with legal obligations (tax, anti-money-laundering, lawful subpoenas).
3. Who Sees What
Venue DJ & Manager
Sees: song, artist, tip amount, requested dancer, last-4 of phone. Never sees: full phone number, payment details, or other venues' activity.
Dancer
Sees: dedications routed to her, tip amount, song. Never sees: requester's contact info.
YouDJNow (Super Admin)
Sees: aggregated platform data, flagged transactions, support tickets. Engineers access raw data only as needed for fraud, abuse, or support investigations, with audit logging.
Other Customers
May see: your last-4 next to a request you submitted in the public live queue. Never sees: your phone, your name, your payment.
4. Third-Party Processors
- Payments: Stripe, Apple Pay, Cash App, Zelle.
- SMS / push: Twilio, OneSignal.
- Hosting & analytics: Lovable Cloud, anonymized product analytics.
5. Retention
- Transaction records: 7 years (tax & financial law).
- Request history: 2 years, then de-identified.
- Location pings: not stored after the session ends.
- Account: kept until you delete it; some financial records retained for the period above.
6. Your Rights
- Access, correct, or delete your data — email privacy@youdjnow.app.
- Opt out of marketing messages at any time (transactional messages will continue).
- California (CCPA), EU/UK (GDPR), and other regional rights honored where applicable.
- We do not sell your personal information.
7. Age & Anti-Trafficking
YouDJNow is restricted to users 21+. We cooperate with law enforcement on any credible report involving minors or trafficking and use risk-scoring on transaction patterns to flag suspicious activity. Knowingly submitting false age information is grounds for permanent ban and referral to authorities.
8. Security
Data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Payment data tokenized via PCI-Level-1 processors. Role-based access with audit logs. No system is 100% secure — report vulnerabilities to security@youdjnow.app.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International
YouDJNow operates from the United States. By using the Service from outside the US, you consent to transfer of your data to the US for processing.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified via in-app banner or SMS at least 14 days before they take effect.
