Refund Policy

The short version
Your card is authorized, not charged when you send a song request or tip. Money only moves to the DJ if they accept and play it. If they reject the request or don't accept within the hold window, the hold is released automatically — no refund request needed.
How payments work
YouDJNow uses Stripe's hold-and-capture model for song-request tips. When you submit a request, we place a temporary authorization on your card for the tip amount. Nothing is captured until the DJ approves the request from their booth.
- DJ accepts and plays the song: the hold is captured and the tip is paid to the DJ. This is a completed sale.
- DJ rejects the request: the hold is released immediately. You are never charged.
- DJ does not respond within 30 minutes: the hold expires automatically and you are never charged.
Depending on your bank, released holds can take up to 7 business days to disappear from your statement. This is standard bank behavior — no money was captured, but the "pending" line may linger.
Completed sales are final
Once a DJ accepts your request, the transaction is complete and the tip is non-refundable. This protects DJs from having their work performed and then reversed. If you believe you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate request or an unauthorized transaction — email us within 7 days at support@youdjnow.com and we will investigate.
Subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly. You can cancel any time from your account settings; you keep access until the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods.
Merchandise
Physical merch orders (hats, tees, etc.) are handled by our print-on-demand partner. Because each item is printed to order, we cannot accept returns for buyer's remorse. Damaged, defective, or wrong-item orders will be replaced free of charge — email support@youdjnow.com with a photo within 14 days of delivery.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank. Because song-request tips are only captured after a DJ performs the work, most disputes can be resolved directly and much faster by email. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in your account being blocked from future requests.
